Here's something to play with: lie down on your back with whatever props you need for you spine to feel aligned and your body to feel as comfortable as it can. Place your left hand, flat palm don, onto your middle chest and your right hand, flat palm down onto you upper belly (above belly button). For a few minutes, just be aware of and curious about your breath, noticing how it feels under each hand, and in the space between the two.
Over time, begin to notice the tiny natural pauses just where the breath turn from in to out and out to in, and let your mind rest in these turning points. Rest and notice/sense for as long as you like. When you feel ready, take a few refreshing breaths and return to your day.
