From Victoria Moran: "In this moment, there is plenty of time. In this moment [we] are precisely as [we] should be. In this moment, there is infinite possibility." Blessings for a sweet harvest
Fall always feels to me like a time of not only reaping our harvests, but of transformation and possibility. Our practice can invite us to meet this "what is and what might be" in the moment by moment of movement and breath. We learn to sense ourselves deeply as we are at that moment with a compassionate and curious awareness, to hold intention but let go of agenda, to allow what needs to transform and heal the space it needs to do so. We increase in our ability to hold what is just as it is as though in one palm, and to hold open possibility in the other.
From Victoria Moran: "In this moment, there is plenty of time. In this moment [we] are precisely as [we] should be. In this moment, there is infinite possibility." Blessings for a sweet harvest We'll continue exploring the expansiveness of time and space when we can remain connected to the present moment - whatever that holds - compassionately and without resistance or exaggeration. Our quote is from the philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe:
Always hold fast to the present. Every situation, indeed every moment, is of value, because it is the representative of a whole eternity. This view s very much in keeping with a yogic way of perceiving every aspect of ourselves and the world as an expression of the underlying reality or essence of Life. This week, sense for moments in your practice where a natural timelessness and spaciousness peeks or suffuses through as you rest in presence with all that you are experiencing... Welcome back to our Fall session! This time of year can have a hectic pace and full schedule. This week, let's practice pausing for just a moment now and then to breathe, notice and savour life in all its fullness, richness, complexity (and many apparent opposites). When we take these pauses, or give ourselves the time we need on our mat or cushion, or taking a walk, or doing some art, or really listening to ourselves or another, time shifts and we become more present, and perhaps can sense our underlying Presence
From Ralph Waldo Emerson: “I wish that life should not be cheap, but sacred. I wish the days to be as centuries, loaded, fragrant.” Enjoy the whole amazing tapestry! |
