From Dr. David Frawley: Yoga practices not only promote physical and psychological well-being, but also yoga as a whole is aimed at eliminating [emotional and] spiritual suffering..[which] arises from the identification of our true nature with the limitations of the body and mind. If we learn to witness the conditions of body and mind, whether painful or pleasurable, and not identify them as our own, we can go beyond all suffering.
This week, take some time to practice sakshi bhava - taking the attitude of the witness. You might observe who's aware of what you are aware of (for example, who it is that you Are who is aware of the discomfort you're noticing in the body). Wishing you insightful exploring!
